Introduction Impulse Engineering is a private limited company formed in 1986, based in Hampshire, England. We offer: design, supply, installation and maintenance of fire detection, alarm & extinguishing systems, together with independent or integrated security systems. We consider that our philosophy, and the methods of executing the projects that we are involved with is the key to our success and growth over the years. Customer satisfaction and a commitment to quality are key elements of this philosophy.

Qualifications

Impulse Engineering Limited maintains approved and authorised distributor / dealerships that are fully supported by manufacturers. This enables us to provide authorised repair and service facilities for all the products we offer.

We are NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) approved contractors, certified by the SSAIB for the installation of security systems, members of The Fire Protection Association, Institute of Fire Engineers and the British Safety Council.

Quality is very important to us and we operate a system that meets, and is certified to the requirements of BS EN ISO9001:2000 .

Maintenance and fault repair services are offered on a tailor made basis to suit the requirements of our clients, these can range from "four hour" agreements providing service to a national cash and carry organisation, to next day response for "offshore" installations and 24 hour 365 day cover with 2 hour response, for city based institutions.

Our Products & Services:-

Fire Detection & Alarm Systems: Conventional, addressable, analogue addressable, and flame detection systems form the basis of the fire detection and alarm systems for general or specific specialist applications

High Sensitivity Smoke Detection: Known by the trade mark names of HSSD / and VESDA. These systems suit applications where very early smoke detection is required: communications centres, computer rooms and data stores are typical application.

Gaseous Extinguishing Systems: FM200®, Argonite, Carbon Dioxide, and more environmentally friendly alternatives such as fine water spray and inert gases. Since the ban was introduced on the manufacture of fire extinguishing gases that contain CFCs the range of extinguishants available has increased dramatically. Intruder Detection & Alarm Systems: CCTV, multiplex and integrated security systems often form part of the contracts that we are involved with. Most of the risks protected by our systems are monitored by the clients own manned security centres.
